VLCC shares brand journey with future entrepreneurs at IIM, Kolkata
Indias leading wellness brand VLCC today stood before the students of IIM Kolkata to share and enrich the students with the art of entrepreneurship. The special session was organized by Centre for Entrepreneurship Initiative and E-Cell at IIM Kolkata, which was addressed by Ms. Vandana Luthra herself. Her speech centered on companys journey in building the brand VLCC from just a concept, the various issues faced by at startup and how the company looks to expand in the future.
During her speech Ms. Vandana Luthra Chairman and Mentor VLCC said To my mind, entrepreneurship is about people, their choices and actions in starting, taking over or running a business, or their involvement in a firms strategic decision-making. Entrepreneurs are a heterogeneous group and come from all walks of life. Yet there are certain common characteristics of entrepreneurial behavior, including a readiness to take risk and a taste for independence and self-realization.
Speaking to a large number of first and second year students, Vandana Luthra enlightened the students with her vision and the need for initiative in life. She emphasized upon the importance of execution and the entire talk was studded with examples which the students very well identified with. She also encouraged students to consider health care industry as a career in the future.

CHENNAI: The British Council has chosen 20 youngsters from across the country to participate in its creative future programme for entrepreneurs. The selected candidates have expertise in fields ranging from fashion design to documentary making. The Future School programme, a two-week residential course at the Indian Institute of Management - Bangalore (IIM-B), will help them develop business skills such as networking and marketing.
