US senator to visit IIM-A
It is time for another politician to set foot on the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) campus, this time an American.
Senator Edward Murray, a native of Washington state, who has represented Seattles 43rd legislative district since 1995 is all set to deliver a lecture on Public-Private Partnerships in Infrastructure at the campus on May 16.
The proposal for Murrays talk at IIM-A came about with co-ordination from the US embassy who were in touch with officials of the Centre for Infrastructure Policy and Regulation at the institute.

IIM-B ties up with Stanford varsity Stanford University (SU) has tied up with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore, for a student exchange programme, which will start from the next academic year. Under the auspices of the Stanford-IIMB Exchange Programme, 16 students from Stanfords Graduate School of Business (SGSB) will visit India each September. Their visit will be followed by an equal number of IIM-B students to US in December. Iroquois organization hosts trip to museums
The Iroquois Studies Association is sponsoring an overnight bus trip to visit two American Indian museums. The bus will leave the Oakdale Mall parking lot at 8 a.m. July 12 and return between 10 and 11 p.m. July 13. The tour will visit the Iroquois Indian Museum in Howes Cave, which features contemporary Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) art and historical and archeological pieces. The museum is shaped like a traditional Haudenosaunee longhouse. The bus will continue east, stop for lunch and arrive in North Stonington, Conn., in late afternoon. Wharton students to study rural scheme
NEW DELHI: After IIM students took up the Indian Railways' financial turnaround as a case study, it is the turn of Wharton Business School students to study the rural tourism scheme launched by the ministry of tourism. At least 15 students from Wharton will visit three project sites in India — Sikkim, Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh — to learn about the region, its economic growth and culture and prepare a plan for tourist management plan for it. The students are expected to arrive in July and will visit Lachen in Sikkim's north district, Jageshwar in Uttaranchal's Almora district and Mana
