Stanford University (SU) has tied up with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore, for a student exchange programme, which will start from the next academic year.

Under the auspices of the Stanford-IIMB Exchange Programme, 16 students from Stanfords Graduate School of Business (SGSB) will visit India each September.
Their visit will be followed by an equal number of IIM-B students to US in December.
Stanford students are already visiting India and the university also has a Centre for South Asia in its US campus to increase south Asian faculty strength and support research.

Varsity ready for a CAT ride!

ADMISSIONS TO the seven post graduate management programme run in Lucknow University for 2007-08 shall be done through CAT examination. Already the same is in practice for MBA and MEB courses run by business administration department. LU has recently signed an MoU with the IIM for using the CAT scores for shortlisting the candidates for group discussion and interview to be conducted by the varsity and selecting the candidates based on the overall merit. IIM Ahmedabad ties up with US firm for corporate education

Ahmedabad - The Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) here Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the US-based Duke Corporate Education CE to offer customised corporate education programmes in India and the Middle East. ‘The programme will be a unique initiative and a first of its kind in the country. The customised corporate education programmes are designed specifically to meet the needs of targeted groups of executives of a company,’ IIMA director Bakul Dholakia told reporters here.
